How do I get a ride?

In town:

-Call 846-1888 up to 30 minutes  prior if specific appointment to meet.


-You will reach the driver directly. The driver will ask your full name, your address and your destination. He will advise you if there is any potential delay in his arrival to you. 


-Please do let the driver know if you will need to use the wheelchair lift/ramp, and also if you have a specific appointment time to meet. 


-Our service is curb to curb, so please be ready when the driver arrives. 


- Fare of $1 per ride 


-Be prepared for weather related delays in town during winter months. 


-Service Animals are allowed on vehicles. Other small animals may be allowed on vehicles with prior request and must be under owner's control. If able, drivers may plan trip so that others are not on vehicle.

Out of town: 

-We prefer that you call 846-9789 ext. 2 at least a week ahead to schedule your ride, to make sure we have a driver and vehicle available.


 -You will be asked your name, address, time of any appointments, and town you wish to travel to. Please let us know the number of stops you would like to make and the anticipated duration of your ride.  A variety of factors may limit the number of stops.


- You will also be asked regarding any special needs you might have, such as an accessible vehicle or if an aide will ride with you. 


-Please also let us know of any children under 6 years of age, as you will need to bring and install a car seat.


 -You will be advised of the fare. Fares are split among riders. If you are planning to submit Medicaid mileage, please let us know. 


- We will check to see if a driver is available and get back to you. You may have 2 other riders in the vehicle, and should plan to be out for the day. We will contact you prior to the day of your ride with a final schedule/itinerary.


-Be aware that there may be delays or cancellations in your rides, due to winter weather. We will contact you if there are any changes.

Passenger Should Expect the Following Rights…

- Courtesy and respect from transit staff, 
including safe and reliable service
- Open public involvement process
 for changes in service or fares 

 Riders Are Expected to Show the Following Responsibilities….

- Respect for other passengers and public transit staff
- Obey vehicle and service rules
- Be considerate: avoid using vulgar or offensive language
- Keep your feet on the floor of the bus, not on seats
- Do not distribute literature or petitions to others
- Keep hands/arms inside the bus, not out the window
- Remain seated while the bus is in motion
- Keep from distracting driver with redundant conversation
- Avoid carrying hazardous or flammable materials, illegal drugs,  
            open containers of alcoholic drinks, or weapons
- Do not disturb other passengers
- Deposit litter in the trash receptacle 
 - Please do not tip the driver      

**** Failure to comply with these rules can result in the refusal of    
 bus service and removal from transit vehicles ****

You have the right to file a complaint of discrimination in writing no later than 180 calendar days after the date of the alleged discrimination.
